Event summary

The European Shortages Monitoring Platform (ESMP) training session on crisis and MSSG-led preparedness reporting aims to equip all marketing authorisation holders (MAHs) with the necessary knowledge and guidance on how to report information to EMA via ESMP during crisis situations and MSSG-led preparedness activities.

EMA is organising a series of events for all concerned stakeholders to familiarise with ESMP system functionalities. This session builds on the European Shortages Monitoring Platform Essentials and Industry Reporting Requirements webinar, and will provide clarity on what constitutes these scenarios and outline reporting processes during such events.

The session takes place on 19 February 2025, 10:00 – 12:30 (CET) and is aimed at all MAHs for human medicines in the EU/EEA.

During this session, the ESMP team will cover the activation and use of ESMP reporting functionalities specifically for crisis and MSSG-led preparedness situations. Participants will gain an understanding of the triggers for these scenarios and how to report effectively during these periods.

The ESMP reporting functionalities for crisis and MSSG-led preparedness reporting launch on 29 January 2025, but will only be activated when a crisis is officially declared or an MSSG-led preparedness exercise is launched. This training represents an opportunity for MAHs to familiarise with the ESMP's application in such contexts. Furthermore, EMA will expand on ESMP interoperability, and there will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session through a dedicated Slido.

This training is part of EMA's ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive guidance on the use of the ESMP, ensuring all users are well prepared to report effectively during crisis and preparedness situations.

Please note: The webinar will be broadcast live via EMA's YouTube channel and recorded, and the recording will be available on the event page shortly after the event.
